There are sad, grim, horrific statistics, and why I am writing three fiction romance fiction books using this topic.  Why?  THREE tragic suicides in my own family, TWO suicides of close friends.  And because I’m bipolar, ONE suicide attempt and three stays in the psych ward.  For me, no more silence.  I hope my book series called THE SUICIDE CLUB – as yet unsold – let people know that with medical treatment and a good support system, you can have a GREAT life with loved ones IF YOU GET HELP.  Like me!  (43 years happily married.)  I want to make a dent in those tragic NAMI stats.  Wish me luck selling this series.  The only way I know to lower those grim stats is to write—and come out of the closet.  There is hope and treatment out there, so please spread the word.

 

FYI. Many people chose NOT to reveal their mental illness so as to fit seamlessly into society.  That is THEIR choice and is NOT to be faulted in any way—just like me writing this is MY choice.  Accept the outspoken or the silent, and pray for hope for the suicidal.  Hugs to everyone, 2-footed and 4, who brightened my dark mind, especially my husband.  The BEST day in my life and will always be was the day we met.  Thank you for always being there for me, and hugs for all of you.  Anne Marie
